3 Super Unnecessary-For-My-Beauty-Routine Products That I'm Probably Still Going To Buy
We are all well aware that there is a line between necessary and excessive products and companies love to help push us over the edge. They know how to sell a product that really makes us question why we would never have it in the first place.
Here are a few products that, despite all reason, I feel deserve a spot on my beauty shelf.
A Heated Eyelash Curler
I was blessed to be born with naturally long and curled eyelashes but it still never hurts to have a eyelash curler, especially when it comes to blending in my natural eyelashes with falsies.
Despite knowing that a regular one works well enough, a heated eyelash curler seems to have an appeal to it. What makes it seem even better for the job because it appears to parallel hot tools used to curl hair. If it works for the hair on your head, why not the hair on your eyes?
A Stainless Steel Makeup Palette
I am well aware that my hand is a perfectly good place to put down products, not to mention it’s free. However, having a makeup palette to put down my foundations or to mix lipstick colors on makes me feel like a professional makeup artist. It also helps calm to hygiene-freak inside me!
A Light-Up Makeup Mirror with Multiple Light Settings
I recently got one of these for a holiday and I feel that I could never go back to a makeup mirror with one light setting again. While I know that a mirror that has one good light setting is plenty, I can’t help but now feel that I need different lighting depending on when I use it.
In the morning when I first wake up I need to have it on the day lighting. When I do my makeup I need to move to be closer to the office setting while still having a touch of the day lighting. In the evening the light has to be that perfect balance of the evening and the home setting. Ridiculous, I know. But now I could never imagine being without it and maybe a fancier one—because you already know how much I adore fancy beauty buys by now, right?—would be even more of a game-changer? Hm.
