3 Warm Weather Hair Products To Pull Out On Sunny Days
It’s 98 degrees today, so I guess that means summer is soon going to be here with a bang. Summer is time for beaches, laying in the grass and going out. But it also might mean your hair changes hues because of UV rays; dries out, gets damaged from swimming pool chlorine, or turns frizzy and rough.
Fret not! There are many simple solutions so you can have sleek, silky hair for months and months.
Personally, I’m obsessed with those beachy waves you get after laying around at the beach all day. Something about the salty air and the sun gives your hair that “I’m having fun and I don’t care about anything” vibe.
Unfortunately, even in summer, we have classes and/or work and we can’t be at the beach all day everyday (trust me, I wish). Bumble and Bumble has always been a cult favorite of hair care lovers and their Surf Spray is iconic. It’s $27 and it’s easy to use!
Just spray it on and scrunch your hair a little and ta-da! It doesn’t make your hair “hard” or “crunchy,” which I like, because that’s a problem with many hair sprays. My hair still feels soft and natural, the spray just gives it some piece-y texture!
I’m usually not very wowed by Garnier Fructis, but I am a huge fan of the Smooth Blow Dry Anti-Frizz Cream.
Lately, because I color my hair pretty often, my usually sleek hair is definitely becoming rough and frizzy. I’ve found this tube of hair product to be surprisingly cheap and very efficient. All you do is squeeze a little onto your hands and work it onto your mane. You can do this before you style, or just use it and go! It makes my hair feel nice and soft all day.
This is a holy grail hair product. We don’t really think about this, but just like you need to protect your skin from the UV rays, you need to protect your hair as well! Hair is not immune from the sun, and can get damaged and discolored with too much exposure!
It’s important to wear a hat, but it can also be helpful to reach for a good protectant too. I love this spray because it has UV protection. I have really thick hair, but it spreads in well and makes my hair look shiny and chic.
Remember to protect your hair this summer! Natural products like coconut oil, honey and neem powder will protect and preserve your hair’s health and shine better than any chemical product. Be sure to wear a hat and sit in the shade! Leave your sun-in at home too!
