A Platinum Blonde Accent Streak: Should I Go For It?
Yes, it's me again. So, I have colored my hair like crazy for most of my life. I've had nearly every hue in existence—except yellow, which Shadie has actually made a compelling case for—pop up on my head.
A few years ago though, I took a look at my damaged tresses and resolved to stop tossing loads of chemicals onto it, which meant that hair dyes were a big no-no. And, shock of shock, I actually stuck to this resolution.
However, I have recently been toying with dipping my toe back into the hair coloring waters. Why? Because I am now sorely tempted to add a platinum blonde accent streak into my life.
I'm still on the fence about it, but the following three Instagrammers are inspiring me to seriously consider it.
Stumbling upon this shot from Retrô Hair's Alexandre is actually what ignited my desire for a platinum blonde streak in the first place! This is just so striking and cool. I also really like where the blonde streak is placed.
Just to be clear though, I have neither the patience nor the bravery to ever opt for an undercut of any sort so I'm setting my sights solely on the blonde streak component here.
Molly is an amazing makeup artist (like, honestly, she's stellar) and her hair is just one of the many envy-inspiring things about her. I feel like this is really face-framing and interesting, don't you?
Perry Styne's hairstyle in this snap is just twenty million levels of adorable. It makes me yearn for Halloween actually. This kind of combines a split-hair dye job with a "fringe only" dye job, which is great because I love both of those. Very, very stylish.
Also, if there is one thing that I have learned today, it is that makeup artists have the awesome hair thing on lock.
