Actually Organic’s Argan Oil Is Actually Amazing

Actually Organic’s Argan Oil Is Actually Amazing

I'm here with a review of Argan Oil from recently-launched brand Actually Organic! This tiny bottle advertises use for skin, hair and nails, so obviously I had to try it.

Prior to testing this out, I had only used argan oil shampoos and conditioners, so I didn’t even realize that it could be used on your skin—turns out it opens a whole new world of possibilities!

Also, I realized that it has no smell. Which is a weird thing to notice, but I love it because it doesn’t compete with the other scents in my hair. Also, it makes me feel more confident in the brand’s no-chemical guarantee. Just a casual observation. Continue reading, my friends...

First off, I have a ridiculous amount of hair. Think Rapunzel-strength, lower-back length. Currently my hair is balayaged out from dark brown into blonde, so hair products have to be very special for me to use them on my color job.

I had not had the best experience with Argan oil hair stuff because the oil-based products typically weigh my hair down and make it greasy (yuck!).

Blessedly, this Actually Organic brand slid into my life just in time! Per a consultation with my hair girl, she suggested I swap out my normal purple toner and use the Argan Oil to help protect the blonde. She’s usually never wrong, so I gave it a shot. I just put two or three spritzes into my hands and then ran my hands from where the color started down through the ends! (Get it really worked into those ends!)

Done. It added zero time to my normal routine and my hands were moisturized afterwards, too! My color hasn’t changed or turned brassy at all and I can’t tell any difference from when I made the switch a month ago!

Which brings me to my next findings—skin. My skin is normally just a bit more on the oily side, but I have been known to get eczema patches on my jaw and around my hairline.

That being said, I started using this Argan Oil as a moisturizer for a patch of stubborn dry skin and it cleared right up! Though I’ll admit, I was nervous to try the oil as just a straight facial moisturizer, because my skin is acne-prone and I was worried about clogging up my pores.

Have no fear though, I started using it just once a day, after I had stripped off my makeup for the night. Some Argan Oil reviews that I have seen advertise that it helps to clear up acne and I was slightly disappointed to discover that it was not the case for me. Boo.

It did, however, make my skin feel incredibly soft and glowy. Plus,I didn’t notice that my skin got any worse and I didn’t feel like my face was being clogged up, so that was good! I can absolutely recommend it as a moisturizer.

Unfortunately, I am currently wearing acrylic nails, so I wasn’t able to try the nail soak that the bottle recommends, but I’m sure it would be great; my hands are noticeably softer even after just oiling my hair and rubbing in the excess. If I thought I would be able to tell a difference by soaking my nails, I would try it for you guys. Maybe next time?

Anyway, I hope you’ve liked my quick little write-up on this argan oil and maybe I’ll be chatting with y’all again soon. Stay beautiful, loves!
