#AllGoldEverything: 3 Golden Makeup Items That Are At The Top Of My Wishlist
Spring is upon us and it’s time for warm weather, colorful clothes and outdoor events. And this year, the go-to spring hues are all vibrant colors and warm neutrals.
However, I really think that the shining, standout color of the season is going to be gold. Not only is it perfect for hopping from event to event, it also has a whole bunch of variations (i.e. yellow gold, rose gold, metallic gold, matte gold, etc.) so that you'll never get gold-fatigue.
Because I genuinely enjoy sharing my beauty woes and (in this case) my beauty wishes with the world, I thought I would point you towards a few flaxen products that I currently am eyeing so that you can join me in lusting after these items. The more the merrier, right?
First up, we have Queen Bee from Lipstick Queen. This shade is absolutely beautiful and can be used for a subtle day look with a bit of shimmer, but can also be combined with another shade of lipstick for a more glam look. It’s not just a lipstick, it has soothing natural ingredients that give it a balm-like quality, making it great for chapped lips. It would also be really fun to play around with this as a shimmery highlighter.
Basically, this lipstick is sure to keep your lips soft, nourished, and pretty.
I am really excited at the prospect of trying Velvet Eyecolor in Velvet Pecan from bareMinerals, as I am already a long-time devotee of the brand's long-lasting, ideally-textured and mostly natural eyeshadows.
I love this bold, dramatic shade for night time events because I think it would look good on all skin tones and would really make the eyes pop. With a touch of water, it would become a lovely sheer, subtle look, or could even be used as an eyeliner. Also, I know the shade is called "Velvet Pecan" but I know gold when I see it so I am ignoring this technicality.
Streaks N Tips Temporary Highlight Spray Gold Dust from Sally Beauty Supply is a bit MUCH, but it is also a super fun and easy way to inject some gold into any look.
A few spritzes are good for a shimmery, sun-kissed daytime look or you can do what I am planning to do and completely coat your hair with this in order to achieve a halo-like hair glow.
Stay golden, everyone!
