Aquarium Nails: Why I Am Very Thrilled About This Trend
As a chick who loves getting her nails done, I’m always on the lookout for new styles to try out.
Nails are an easy, but cute way to express yourself and nail art is something that you can constantly change, so you never get bored! Also, a trip to the salon or a DIY day at home is always super relaxing.
My current favorite trend is aquarium nails. The idea is that the gel cap is filled with water, creating a very funky, fascinating end-result. Some people do this and some people just use designs that have an aquarium-esque feel, such as seashells and swirls. You know, like the kind Shadie made a case for a while ago
Let’s check out some of my best finds on Instagram!
For something a bit simpler, but still very classy, opt for something like this. The white-tipped nails feel familiar (French mani, anyone?), but the little gems and seashells jazz up a classic look. I also adore the little swirly designs!
This is something I would do. My go-to look is keeping most of my nails simple and then having one or two accent nails, usually my ring and middle fingers. I especially enjoy the ring fingers in this look. They’re water filled, with a sea shell-looking base. Kudos, Hannah Pennylane!
Here’s a really cute, vibrant look! It utilizes accent nails again, but doesn’t do anything really complicated. Just clear nails with gems. The light shade of blue is magnificent.
I doubt I’d be able to recreate any of these looks without the help of my lovely ladies at the salon, but I know some of you are uber-talented when it comes to DIY nails. Have fun with these amazing looks!
