Autumn Palettes To Fall For

Autumn Palettes To Fall For

I’m probably one of the few people who does not like fall. I know everyone loves fall for its pretty colors and cozy scarves and hot drinks. But the truth is I don’t like pumpkin spice anything and—call me a basic Cali girl—and I prefer warm weather and summertime.

But even I must admit, the aesthetic of fall, all the colours and tones, are quite beautiful. And as a makeup afficiando, I can really appreciate the moody, vampy colours. I tend to favor darker colours anyway.

This year, there are so many new, gorgeous fall palettes out. It’s a new term for school, work, whatever you’re doing in life. I have touched on one you should avoid before too though, just FYI!

Let’s see how you can upgrade your look for this new chapter in 2017.

1. Huda Beauty's Desert Dusk Eyeshadow Palette

If you are even the teensiest bit interested in makeup, I’m sure you already know all about this one. This is definitely the it palette of this fall. The colors are so opulent and creamy. There is a solid balance of mate and shimmer shades. The range of shades is huuuuge, taupes, golds, browns, warm rose golds, peach, purples,  pinks, reds, orange. Basically sums up the whole “fall spectrum” And did I mention the pigmentation? Such quality, oh my gosh.

2. e.l.f’s Mad for Matte Holy Smokes Palette

Now, for something a bit more affordable... I haven’t liked e.l.f. in a few years, but this palette is actually quite wonderful. A little reminiscent of the Urban Decay smokey "Naked" palettes, this palette includes 10 matte shades, with many neutral browns, greys and blacks. But for a pop of color, e.l.f. has included two dusky blue shades.

Blue is a really fun color to try in the fall! I would do a smokey eye with the browns and blacks and then line my eyes with blue for just that touch of something different.

3. Tarte Cosmetics Dream Big Eyeshadow Palette

I am a very faithful consumer of Tarte Cosmetics. I think Tarte is a decently-priced brand that doesn’t test on animals. They churn out good-quality, lovely makeup.

I really like their Dream Big Eyeshadow Palette. Most of the colors in this are shimmery, which I know not everyone likes, but I’m all for a pinch of glitter! Especially when the weather’s so dreary. This palette has a few light, shimmer tones that would be beautiful in the inner corner of your eyes. The rest of the shades are dark, luscious berry colors. Super classy.

3. MAC Burgundy Times Nine Palette

I’m not a big fan of MAC, but I adore this palette. Literally, the most beautiful shades of plum, pink and brown. I think this palette is versatile, as you can use it for contour, blush, highlight and eyeshadow.

4. Tarte Dream Big Eyeshadow Palette

Okay, so this definitely is my favorite product this autumn. My mind is a little bit blown by this palette. It is so crystalline and stunning. There are 6 creamy, pigmented shades: white, cream, three soft rose pinks and one warm taupe. These colors look superb on everyone and they sculpt your face unbelievably well. The glow is crazy. It’s always a treat to have a peep of sunshine in the cold!

See you soon.
