Beauty Assignment: Miranda-"Halloween"

Beauty Assignment: Miranda-"Halloween"

Some people wish it could be Christmas everyday... there's even a whole song about it.  But I happen to be obsessed with all things fall (check out my favorite fall beauty trends here) and more importantly, all things Halloween.

For this beauty assignment, I decided to use the "Halloween" theme I was dealt as an excuse to transform myself into The Pumpkin Queen. It took a little imagination, 20 minutes and about $7 to complete this easy DIY Halloween look.

You Will Need:

A Bun Maker

An Elastic Hair Band

Orange Hair Spray (à la this Party City one)

Green Felt

A Small Piece Of Cardboard

I am wearing an OCC Lip Tar called Cosplay, which is actually discontinued but they do still have Blackboard, which is a deeper green.

Step One: Use the bun maker and elastic hair band to create a huge hair bun on top of your head.  What's great is that you can wear the bun to work or school and then spray it orange at night for Halloween shenanigans.

Step Two: Cut a stem-like shape out of your cardboard and glue the felt on top. I used hot glue, but you could probably get away with any glue or even staples. Hot glue will make it easier if you want to add vines like mine though!

Step Three: Spray just your bun with the orange hair spray and stick your cooled off stem right into the center of the bun maker. The bun maker should hold it in place just fine, but you can always also use bobby pins.

Happy Halloween!
