Coral Craze: 3 Great Lip Products To Swipe On This Summer
While I’m a big fan of all lipstick colors—and a firm believer that they can be worn whenever and wherever—it is hard to deny that coral is the lip color of summer (though I also urge you to take note of Sam's anything-but-run-of-the-mill suggestions from 3 Lipstick Shades To Add To Your Summer Makeup Bag).
This gorgeous hue is timeless, playful and can be incorporated into SO many different makeup looks. Because of this, I’ve put together a short list of what I consider to be the best coral lipsticks and glosses, so that you can try them out and see how this super cute and trendy color looks on yourself, though I am already certain that you’ll be happy with the results!
Right, so these are technically three shades but each of them are so beautiful that I couldn't NOT include them all, so here we are.
These beauties are part of Anastasia Beverly Hills' Liquid Lipstick collection, meaning that they provide a matte finish (c'mon, I wasn't going to NOT include a coral matte option). These are also non-drying and are very, very pigmented. So take your pick. Just kidding, you need them all!
If you aren’t really into bold, matte lipsticks and prefer a more subtle and glossy look, then this lip gloss will be right up your alley. This specific shade leans more towards the orange side but still delivers that captivating coral we’re looking for (ha, see what I did there?)
Although this is a gloss, the formula is not sticky at all and is very lightweight. Honestly, this may not pack the longest-lasting punch in the world, but it is supppperrrrrr pretty while it lasts.
I wanted to include a drugstore option for lipstick on this list that also didn’t have a complete matte finish for those of you who are "eh" on the matte lip thing. This coral lip color is semi-matte, creamy and easy-to-apply-perfectly, while providing opaque, full coverage and even leaves a bit of a tint after it initially wears off. It is also less than $3. I'll take ten of these, please!
Go on and pop on some coral, lovelies!
