Cotton Candy Dreaming

Cotton Candy Dreaming

It's always amazing to behold the beauty of summertime sunsets. The asymmetrical depths of pinks, blues, purples to even a slight green and orange shade. Sunsets are mesmerizing. I can stare and take a billion pictures of the sky. The dreamiest sunsets have to be cotton candy-colored, right?!

Oh and since I never tire of comparing things to their makeup equivalents, I searched Instagram and emerged with two examples of top-notch cotton candy-esque makeup looks.

Look One:

I have long been enchanted with @jackssancheztv (who you might know from her YouTube channel) and this very pretty pink look is just cementing my obsession.  From the ear bling to the bright bold lip, this look is unbelievably beautiful. I have been noticing a LOT of bottom waterline glitter lately and this is a well-executed example of how great this trend can turn out.

I also love the correlation of the colors. It’s a dramatic, yet soft, cotton swirl look. Oh and if you'd like to see this look in motion—and find out how to recreate it—there is a video tutorial.

Look Two:

If you aren't yet familiar with @ahitsrosa, stop what you are doing and go get charmed by her by pressing play on any of the videos she has up on her YouTube channel. She is too cute for words.

Anyway, while this isn't a typical "cotton candy" color scheme, it is swirly, twirly and super sweet. Plus, they have non-pink cotton candy now. I've seen it all!

This look is gorgeous and features another glitter waterline that I can't help but want to copy. The teal and the lime green look AMAZING together (and if you want more proof, take a peek at the tutorial for this look).

And that hair. You all know what a sucker I am for colorful hairstyles by now, right?

Okay, I'm off to go concoct my own cotton candy-esque makeup look now.
