DIY It: Body Scrubs
Remember when Alexandra showcased some of the best DIY lip scrubs the Internet had to offer? Well, your lips aren't the only body part that deserve the occasional scrub!
Here are four of my favorite body scrub recipes!
1). Leggy Love
After shaving one's legs, I suggest using a 2 to 1 ratio of sugar to coconut oil and a few drops of any essential oil to make a scrub for damp legs. Massage it on your legs to exfoliate and give your legs that unrealistic-shaving-commercial, baby smooth look.
2. When You're On A Quest For More Rest
When it’s an especially cold day and you’re having a tough time waking up, make a scrub with half of cup of salt, one tablespoon of olive oil and two tablespoons of lemon juice. You can use this in the shower on just your face, or your whole body. It’ll exfoliate, while giving you the refreshing boost.
3. Rosy Sugar Coconut
This scrub smells really nice and has to be made a few days before it is to be used, so it can work especially well as a gift in a nice jar or bottle.
Mix one and a half cups of brown sugar with a cup of coconut oil, a tablespoon of almond oil and a few rose petals. Mix it all together and keep it in the jar for a few days and then pop it open and put it to good use.
4. Vanilla Java Jolt
For dry or rough skin, use a quarter cup of olive oil, a teaspoon of vanilla extract, a cup of brown sugar, 15 drops of peppermint essential oil and half a cup of used coffee grounds. After moistening your skin, massage in the scrub and rinse off.
