Face Ink: Love Freckles?

Face Ink: Love Freckles?

Not only do Inked eyebrows, eyelids and lips exist but now there are also tattooed freckles. Crazy, right?

Embracing freckles is a good thing in my eyes, but it is a semi-permanent procedure! And you’d thought you had seen it all.

It isn’t a complicated process, apparently, but there are still many things that can go wrong, including rashes or other allergic reactions (depending on the individual). Darkness and swelling typically decrease within a few months to blend in with the customer’s skin tone.

Although cosmetic tattooing has been done for years, methods like microblading for somewhat-permanent brows and lash tattoos for eyelash enhancement have taken the trend to new heights. Though there are a number of tattoo artists and critics who are against freckle tattooing, this new trend is still gaining ground.

Results supposedly last for up to three years. Hm.

My take? The freckle trend is fun but similar results can be achieved via makeup trickery, so maybe think it out before going under the needle for a passing beauty craze.
