Do you believe that makeup is an art form? Why or why not?
It depends on the artist. There are makeup artists who really do art in its highest way. But there are also some, which just do "normal“ make-up looks. In my opinion, it has to do with talent and whether you have the ability to be creative.
How do you describe your makeup "style"?
Oh, that's a difficult question. Someone told me once, that when she sees an image with my make-up she immediately knows, it is my work. This was a big compliment.
What inspires you?
I am inspired by our nature and, of course, by other artists. For example, my latest lipart editorial - I was walking my dog and was looking at the young flowers and plants. And suddenly I knew that I want do create something with them.
I always try to be unique. These days you find loads of people who copy other artists—which I deeply condemn.
Can you tell us about your favorite look of all time?
To be honest, I do not have a favorite look of all time. But I love a natural look with fresh and glowy skin. I also like the 50’s look, which was very feminine.
Snaps of your work always make our jaws drop. Any advice for acing eye-catching cosmetic creations?
In daily life, try to emphasize your most beautiful part (i.e. your eyes or your lips).
When you can create your own make-up, e.g. for an editorial shooting, prepare yourself well and try things out.
My general advice these days where those "Instagram glam" make-up looks seem to be so popular; please consider that not every woman can wear it! And do not follow all the Instagram trends!
