My Quest For Kylie-Like Lips (With MAC's Pro Longwear Lip Liner)

My Quest For Kylie-Like Lips (With MAC's Pro Longwear Lip Liner)

In the age of Kylie Jenner and the worst kept secret in Hollywood (lip fillers), it is only natural that one begin to ponder whether or not it is worth it to pursue a more pronounced and prominent pout through over-lining.

Thousands of Youtube videos featuring adventurous makeup gurus attempting to replicate Kylie's trademark look have been posted, but I was still on the fence about this potentially game-changing process.

Curiosity eventually led me to a MAC counter and I bought all of the (allegedly) necessary tools to obtain Kylie's luscious lips. The highly-trained and heavily-made-up counter girl lent me her expertise in this arena, as I was a total rookie when it came to lip liner.

She suggested that I try MAC's Pro Longwear Lip Pencil in Staunchly Stylish.

One piece of advice that she gave again and again was to not try to change the shape of your lips, as this practice is what leads to horrifically clown-like results. Instead, try to merely enhance the shape of your lips.

I headed home with my new lip liner and a nude lipstick and was ready to try emulating Kylie's infamous lips myself. This experiment was far from easy, but after quite a few test rounds, I finally mastered the art of this beauty trick.

My lips looked fuller and I felt sexier and more dramatic. The lip pencil has now become a staple in my makeup kit and I have to confess that I am somewhat-shamefully eyeing her lip kit
