New Year, New Hair: An Inspiration-Packed Post
I’m pretty lazy when it comes to my hair. Honestly, she has a mind of her own, so it doesn’t matter what I do. She’s like me- she does whatever she wants, even if it isn’t going to end well.
So, I tend to just brush my hair and go. But I love to add colour to my hair, because that’s an easy way to spice things up! I’m getting braver, so I’m looking at new looks for this year.
I also want to start trying to learn new hairstyles and so on, so here’s a roundup of hair ideas I’m excited to try!
I’ve been obsessed with pastel purple hair lately. I think it looks lovely, like something from a unicorn fantasy world. I’m definitely too afraid to dye my whole head purple, but I think I’m gonna bleach the tips and dye them this beautiful shade of lilac. I’ve been inspired!
I really want to be able to do some cute up-dos, so I’ve been practicing, but they’re really hard. At least, for me. My hands get sore just tying my dense hair into a pony tail, so it’s quite a workout to do something fancier. But this double French braid bun from Missy Sue is simple and so sweet.
I’m trying so hard to master this look, because it’s perfect for any occasion. The bun is messy and casual, while the braids give you a chic, elegant look!
Short hair gals, I haven’t forgotten about you! I’ve never cut my hair shorter than my shoulders, so this look is such #GOALS. I WISH I had the courage to chop off my locks like this! I love these pixie cuts so much and the curls add beautiful texture to the look.
Perfect for curly haired girls or people who don’t mind doing a little bit of stylin’ in the morning!
Before I go all out and chop off my locks, I think I might try a little bob like this first. I like how light and easy this hairstyle looks. If I do this, I think I’ll dye my hair a deep red to get a cool, confident look.
I’m currently saving up to get balayage. I’ve never tried this, but I see so many pictures and I think it’s a great hair dying technique. For a balayage, they paint individual strands of hair, rather than grouping hair together the way they do for highlights and such. It results in a very natural look, rather than something overt.
I want to get a red balayage that catches in the sun, with streaks of gold and brown!
How you do your hair says a lot about you. It’s a great way to express your unique personality!
