Reviewed: Block Island Organics Cleanser
This $21 beauty buy features some great organic ingredients including rosehip extract, chamomile, sunflower oil, sweet almond oil, avocado oil, olive oil (and basically every other oil you could ever think of) and vitamins C & E. Their products are also cruelty-free, paraben-free, gluten-free and reef-safe.
Now I had never heard about reef safe products before checking out this line, but I thought it was especially awesome to know that this product is safe for the reefs when you're planning to spend a day in the ocean. Products that are good for my skin and safe for the environment? Seems like a win-win to me.
Now for the cleanser. One word—AMAZING. I absolutely loved it. I have super irritable skin and usually gel cleansers will dry me out but this one was super gentle and left my skin feeling super clean and smooth. It’s also fragrance-free, which I like since I cleanse my skin before bed and I hate going to sleep smelling like overly perfume-y cleansers.
I tried using the Organic Purifying Facial Cleanser a few different ways and my favorite was with the Eco Beauty Australia Cleansing Face Brush that I picked up at TJ Maxx a little while ago. It made my skin feel super clean and gave light exfoliation when paired with this cleanser. They’re a match made in heaven, if you can find somewhere to snag this brush.
Overall, if you’re a fan of terrific-ingredient-boasting, environmentally-conscious, high-quality skin care brands at a reasonable price, try out this cleanser. I’m thinking about trying out their Organic Revitalizing Night Cream next!
Great news, lovelies! I have a discount code for you. It is "brees"! It can't be combined with any other code, but using it will save you 20%. Enjoy!
