Splurge Or Save: Foot Masks

Splurge Or Save: Foot Masks

'Tis the season for giving and hopefully, saving! It seems like marketers have created a product for every beauty problem that we may come across (and some that aren't even a real thing)

However, it is important to question where you should splurge or save before opening your wallets. I was researching products when I came across a variety of different foot masks. My curiosity peaked as I thought to myself…do we really need this?

I looked into a range of products and was shocked by the price tags I saw popping up. The average price range for foot masks varied from $6.00 to $30.00. I found this pretty pricey as most kits only came with a pair of foot peels or a foot cream!

The purpose was to exfoliate the skin, remove dead skin and soften the feet. I thought to myself, there has to be a better way.

Then I stumbled upon Amopé's Pedi Perfect™ Electronic Foot File.

Priced at $50, this was created to buff away rough and dry calloused skin from the feet. In my opinion, this device is overpriced and unnecessary.

There can definitely be a savings here! Here is my alternative for overall foot maintenance. Invest in a good stone buffer for your feet and buff every other day in the shower.

This will prevent new rough skin and certainly remove the old dead skin. After your shower lather your feet with cocoa butter and coconut oil. Wrap your tootsies in some socks and by morning you will have soft and shiny feet. This maintenance routine will keep your feet in good shape and then you can splurge on your pedicure!

Now you'll have more to spend on makeup. Yay!
