Super Cat Eye: Winged Liner Superstars

Winged liner is my go-to makeup look. It hasn’t failed me yet! I feel like a bird with clipped wings without it!

So, it’s only fitting that I share my favorite liner products, tips and tricks and some Instagram inspo to create your next liner look!

Bobbi Brown Cosmetics Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner In Black Ink

When I started doing winged liner, this was the first product that really WORKED. My liner went on smooth and stayed all day plus it was a perfect jet black that had a matte finish. Not to mention, it lasted me a long time! I will say, I am not a fan on angled brushes to apply my liner.

I like using the Bobbi Brown Ultra Fine Eyeliner brush to get a precise line and sharp points. Please note that you must make sure the cap is all the way on and secure when you are done because it will dry and you’ll never be able to bring it back to life. You know all those liners you see on the gondola in Sephora or at a Bobbi Brown counter? That shiny hard stuff is exactly what will happen to your liner if it’s not stored properly!)

Kat Von D Beauty Tattoo Liner In Trooper

I talked briefly about this liner in How To Make Peepers Pop: Glasses Edition, but just to recap, this is perfect for when you are on-the-go.

Unlike other liquid liners on the market, this liner has a brush-like tip to give you a precise application. This is my go-to every day liner. I am personally not a fan of the felt marker-like tips of other liquid liners because I feel they dry out too quickly and can only get a couple weeks use out of them until they go to crap. Okay, end of rant.

Basically, if you want a liner that is easy-to-apply, that lasts all day and that gives you a wing that can cut diamonds, look no further! This liner has a satin-y finish, little bit of shine, but is not glossy.

Tarte Cosmetics Tarteist™ Clay Paint Liner

I’ll admit, this one had me questioning its delivery system. While I am OBSESSED with ALL of Tarte’s products, this one was something new to me. I probably felt skeptical because I got comfortable with my other liner products. Anywayyy, I eventually fell in love with this.

The fact that this comes in a tube instead of a pot let me know it’s easy to keep cleaner than my other lines. Another selling point is the pigment. Holy cow. Talk about black! And the fact that it was so smooth. Also a perk? The fact that it comes with a brush so you don’t have to worry about hunting one down. The brush took me a little getting used to because it was a fine point brush that was bent for more precise application.

Now on to more fun stuff. Whose liner looks have I been feelin’?!

I have loved this girl since day one. Her makeup looks are always out-of-this-world wonderful and her liner can cut a b!+@#.
