Tested With Love: Fat And The Moon's Lavender & Cocoa Dry Powder

As a girl with long, super thick hair, I have the eternal battle of the wash-versus-laziness struggle. I want my hair to be beautiful, but it’s just so hard when it takes so much work to wash! That’s where dry shampoo comes into play (and on a near-daily basis in my case), which is why I was so pumped to recently review Fat And The Moon's Lavender & Cocoa Dry Powder

As a dry shampoo junkie, I was beyond excited to try this out. It came in a cute little carton-type bottle and it smelled okay. I quickly found, however, that it was quite difficult to pour from that cute carton. I actually had to have my sister shake it into my hair for me!

After we sorted that out, I followed the label’s instructions to flip my hair over and comb and this technique worked out nicely.

When I straightened up, all of the powder was gone and I was really impressed with that because I hate it when your dry shampoo looks like you have dandruff! I was two-days out from a wash, which is typically when I break out the dry shampoo, so I was eager to see how this held up. At the end of the day, my hair was still looking grease-free.

The next morning, I used this dry shampoo yet again and discovered that this serves as a fantastic texturizer! My curls (on a third-day wash) were full of life and I had huge lion hair! It didn’t even feel like it was weighed down at all, which I’m usually concerned about because my hair is heavy enough as it is!

While the smell of this product still hasn't grown on me, I really liked how well the product worked overall. I also loved how it added texture, so I didn't need to pile on any more products.
