#TestedWithLove: Mad Hippie's Cream Cleanser & Vitamin C Serum

My skin is truly so thankful that this amazing company, Mad Hippie, decided to bless me with some of their products. I was sent their Cream Cleanser and Vitamin C Serum.

Now, you guys know how I feel about cleansers. I don’t like makeup removers, makeup wipes, whatever. I wash my makeup simply with water and coconut oil for those extra tough spots. I’m not big on chemicals.

But after falling in love with the all-natural We Love Eyes makeup removers, I have to admit, I was super excited to try Mad Hippie’s products, which are also natural! This company felt that many of the skin products out were chock full of toxic chemicals and the natural products did not work as well. So, its aim was to create powerful, yet natural, products. And I must say, Mad Hippie succeeded!

The cream cleanser’s significant ingredients include jojoba oil, orchid extract (which I’ve never seen used before and thought was very neat), macadamia oil and algae extract—all organic!

The cleanser was so gentle and required little effort or scrubbing. I wear kajal, which is an Indian kohl that is extremely hard to take off. I’m pretty sure it’s permanently lined my eyes at this point, like a tattoo. This cleanser honestly made me feel fresh and properly makeup-free when I’d go to bed for the first time in like, years.

After using the cleanser, you are supposed to use the Vitamin C Serum, which has actually changed my life.

The Vitamin C Serum uses Vitamin C, Vitamin E, ferulic acid and konjac root to work miracles that would make even the firmest atheist believe in God...or at least in all-natural skin products.

I never had awful acne, but I did have picky fingers, that led to worse scarring than necessary. I also have deep under eye circles that I like to think are from being such a studious, hard working student, but are probably genetic, and never leave. Trust me, I sleep a lot. So, I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong here!! Here is a before photo. As you can see, my skin isn’t bad, but it does have some hype- pigmentation and freckles/sun spots.whatever they’re called. And there are my under eye circles! Like the gloomiest rainbow you’ve ever seen.

And here’s my "after" photo. I promise I changed out of my—super cool, stylish, and cosy, I will not listen to any slander—Hello Kitty onesie within the week’s distance that these two photos were taken. And I definitely got out of bed. For sure.

As you can see, there are still a few bumps and dark spots, but overall, my complexion looks smooth and supple. This serum is seriously magic. After using the cleanser, you simply rub in some serum into the skin. I was iffy at first, because you’re not supposed to wash it out after and its texture felt kind of syrupy and heavy. But once rubbed in, it feels really nice and light and it kind of dissolves into your skin. Putting lotion over it locks it in place. I noticed results from the first day.

First small things. It made my skin super soft. After a few days, my face was definitely looking brighter and kind of glow-y, due to the lightening of the hyper pigmentation. Now, my skin looks taught and my pores aren’t so visible and I feel absolutely radiant.

These photos are #NoMakeup and #NoFilter, but if you don’t believe me, you can go try these products out for yourself!
