#TestedWithLove: Scrub Yoself Rosewater Sugar Scrub
As someone who suffers from dry skin constantly, sugar scrubs are one of my absolute favorite bath items to use. I find that they do such an amazing job of exfoliating and moisturizing the skin, all in one super simple step.
Which is why I was beyond excited to try out the rosewater sugar scrub from Scrub Yoself.
This prettily perfectly pastel pink scrub is the ideal sugar scrub for a nice spring shower. The scrub is scented by rosewater—distilled by hand!—and it has the super cute bonus of a few little rose petals within the scrub. Um, this product could definitely be worked into a flower power beauty routine.
One thing that I personally adore about this is that it is only has a hint of rose scent; I don’t like to have the scent of my bath products linger on my skin. I much prefer to have a very controlled (for lack of a better word) scent during the day. In my ideal world, products steam up my shower with a lovely aroma and then wash off nicely, so I can choose my perfume for the day without interference or clashing. I found this to be the case with this rosewater sugar scrub and I loved it.
I also really enjoyed the nice thick texture of this scrub, because it’s easy to work with in the shower. Sometimes sugar scrubs can be a little too watery and this is a really nice dense sugar scrub that doesn’t dissolve right away. This gives you a chance to exfoliate with the sugar and work it in with circular motions, revealing the nice smooth skin hiding underneath.
The sugar scrub also left behind a really nice moisturizing layer from the coconut oil (which is, of course, one of its ingredients). I actually prefer to exfoliate with this type of beauty buy right before I reach for my razor, as this gets rid of the excess dead skin, allowing for a close shave. Oh and the left-behind coconut oil acts as a natural “shave gel”, which is fantastic.
Overall, I was impressed and would recommend it to anyone who wants to add a little seasonal taste of spring into their shower routine!
