#TestedWithLove: Sitara Brushes' 9-Piece Luxury Peach Aurora Borealis Brush Set

#TestedWithLove: Sitara Brushes' 9-Piece Luxury Peach Aurora Borealis Brush Set

Welcome to my second official product review! If you happen to enjoy these—and if you haven’t already— why not check out my first one, which I did on The Nubian Palette? Anyway, onward we go!

This gorgeous 9-piece set is done by Sitara Brushes, a UK- based beauty company that offers 100% vegan and cruelty-free, synthetic products; including false lashes and eyeshadow palettes. They also offer several other brush sets besides the one I’m reviewing and they’re all dazzling!

But back to the subject at hand. I got these guys right after I purchased my wet n wild brushes. I know what you’re thinking; I probably didn’t need yet another brush set and you’re most likely right. But I figured this was a TRAVEL brush set and we all need one of those, right? Right.

Well, first thing I want to say is that they arrived super fast, especially for something that was being shipped from the UK all the way to Colombia. If that isn’t a good first impression!

Now, I was super excited when I opened the package and saw the cute zipper bag the brushes came in. I was happy that I wouldn’t have to put the extra effort into finding a new bag to store them in, or that I wouldn’t have to just stuff them into a suitcase when I traveled and potentially get them damaged.

The bag itself is also quite flexible; thanks to its design, I was able to pack it flat with the brushes inside so it occupied less space and then have it stand upright on a surface once I arrived to my destination.

As for the brushes, they are definitely smaller than your average set; but when compared to my wet n wild ones, there’s only a few inches difference.

Let’s talk about the handles, because they’re super beautiful and actually quite unique. They’re textured in a way that kind of reminds me of golf balls, which I thought was pretty cool. They’re also really shiny and end in a golden, metallic base that includes the logo of the company. The bristles are a peachy pink color, placed in a dark-to-light gradient.

The set really does have every brush you need. It comes with a blush brush, a foundation brush, an angled contour brush, a fan brush and five eyeshadow brushes (perfect for complete eye looks). What more do you need? You guys know I can’t help but point out softness whenever I talk about brushes and these are no exception.  I also think it’s important to note that the bristles are well-packed together and some of them are actually pretty dense, so the application and color payoff definitely don’t disappoint.

Now for the bad news. And it’s nothing to do with the quality of the brushes, but the fact that these guys are now out of stock and as far as I know, there are no plans of having them restocked. But don’t you worry, because Sitara Brushes has several other brush sets to choose from, so not everything is lost! I invite you to check them out and fall in love with their products, just as I did.

That’s it for now! Hope you enjoyed my review. If there’s anything specific you’d like me to review next, hop over to Twitter or Instagram and let me know. 'Til next time!
