The Best Drugstore Face Masks
Fall is here and I sit writing this in front of a window full of trees with fall leaves and a hot cup of coffee! I honestly think one of the best ways to spend a crisp fall evening is at home curled up with a face mask and a movie. It’s something that I do a few times a week.
That being said, I go through A LOT of face masks during the fall and I’m always looking for ones that are affordable, but still nourishing.
So, here is a list of my top 3 drugstore face masks that won’t break the bank.
This is one of the items that I purchased when I did the $20 Spa Day Challenge. This mask is my holy grail of face masks and I buy more of them every time I’m at Target and stockpile them in my bathroom. It is a gold sheet mask that leaves your skin feeling super soft and hydrated.
A special bonus with this mask is that little flecks of the gold get rubbed into your skin once you take the mask off, leaving you with a super radiant glow. Also, since it’s a sheet mask, it makes for super easy clean up if you’re in a hurry. This mask is a must-have for autumn.
I don’t know if you were one of those kids that put Elmer’s glue on your hand, waited for it to dry and peeled it off, but I totally was. This mask is just as satisfying.
It goes on as a clear gooey layer, which dries down and allows you to peel it right off when you’re finished. I am not actually certain how much cleaner these peel off masks actually make your pores, but my face always feels extra squeaky clean after.
3. Freeman Beauty POLISHING Charcoal + Black Sugar Gel Mask + Scrub
Another Freeman Beauty mask has made the cut; the Polishing Charcoal + Black Sugar Gel Mask + Scrub. This mask is lovely and has a sweet smell. It combines the detoxifying properties of your usual charcoal face masks, but also boasts black sugar, which allows for a beautiful exfoliation at the end of the mask. If I’m having a particularly rough time with dry skin, this is the mask that I turn to remove dry, flaky skin.
I love drugstore face masks and skin care in general. If you have any drugstore favorites, I’d love to know what they are! Just tag me @lovelie_miranda on Twitter and let’s chat about it.
