The Drugstore Concealer Everyone Should Be Obsessing Over
Finding the perfect concealer requires research and time.
Up until now, my holy grail concealer has been the Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer in Light Warm and while this concealer is still overall amazing, the $28 price tag always leaves a sting in my wallet whenever I need to repurchase it.
That being said, I did definitely repurchase this item at least 3 times, so it is a winner if you can’t find the new love of my life in stores near you...
I’ll be honest, for $6 I wasn’t expecting anything stellar and I definitely didn’t think it would be good enough to rival my beloved Urban Decay. My hopes for this product was that I would find something good to use this summer whenever I’m pool or beach-side.
Much to my surprise, this drugstore concealer has insane coverage and a little dab of this concealer can be effortlessly blended out to cover a surprisingly large area.
Using this did wonders for my under-eye area. I also ended up using so much less of this product than the Urban Decay and it felt a lot lighter on my skin (which is a blessing since temperatures have started to rise to around 90 degrees where I live). The concealer also looks more natural, even with such incredible coverage.
What’s really funny is that, for the purpose I originally purchased this concealer for (to test the waterproof-ness), this concealer didn’t really hold up much better than any other long-wearing concealer.
After a sweaty workout, it was a little worn down, similar to the performance of the Urban Decay and (on a separate day) it didn’t stand a chance against a hot shower. I’ll be really interested to see how this stands up against cooler water, like at the pool and maybe I’ll revisit the waterproof claims again.
For now though, I’ll happily use this concealer everyday and have no qualms about repurchasing it at my local Target store for the reasonable price.
