The Hair Hue Of The Holiday Season: Fireside Shadows VS. Silky Snow Platinum
Not too long ago, I talked about "cinnamon hair" and pretty much declared it the official fall color.
But we are in the midst of the holiday season, which means it’s time to declare a new hue to better fit the festivities. I also thought it’d be fun to make this into a competition between two worthy candidates: "Silky Snow Platinum "and "Fireside Shadows" (keep reading if you want to know what these are all about.)
And yes, we’ve already disqualified Bella Thorne’s recent combo of red and green. Anyway, time to figure this one out!
Starting off with the one we like to call "Fireside Shadows", we’re going to be looking at looks that incorporate red and darker hues such as chocolate brown or shadowy black. Very reminiscent of a cozy Christmas night besides the fireplace, drinking hot cocoa with the lights dimmed down… Sorry, got a bit carried away there. Time to pull out some examples.
If you ask me, this is just the perfect shade of red to represent the holiday and the contrast with the darker hair makes it perfect for the Fireside Shadows category. Glorious.
Extensions or not, this is exactly what you want your hair to look like during your office’s next holiday party. I don’t know why the curls totally add to the whole festive vibe, but they do.
Silky Snow Platinum
On to Silky Snow Platinum. The name is pretty self-explanatory, but we basically want to be reminded of gorgeous winter’s snow when we check out these looks. Let’s see if that’s the case!
Well if this one doesn’t do the job then I don’t know what does. I almost want to dive into her hair and start making snow angels… Which isn’t weird at all, I feel. Honestly, if you’re brave enough to go platinum, go for it! This snap shows just how beautiful it can be.
Drumroll please! It’s time to make a decision. I, Mariana, officially declare "Silky Snow Platinum" The Hue Of The Holiday Season! I definitely think both looks are worthy of the title (as shown by my fangirling throughout the article) but there’s just something about white platinum hair that makes it look so ethereal. And I’m dreaming of a white Christmas myself.
Do you agree with my verdict? Let me know on Twitter and Instagram. And if you happen to have your own version of a holiday hue, make sure you show me as well. Last but not least, I’d like to wish you all happy holidays! May you spend a lovely time with family and friends. Until next time!
