Treasure Hunting: LUSH's Feeling Younger Skin Tint

Treasure Hunting: LUSH's Feeling Younger Skin Tint

In recent years, LUSH has become a popular destination for those seeking self-care and bath products. What too many people fail to realize is that in the midst of vibrant bath bombs and fragrant shower gels, there are plenty of REALLY good everyday cosmetic products.

Among these is a skin tint called Feeling Younger (a personal favorite of mine).

This less-than-$20 beauty buy comes in a small glass jar, has a screw-top lid and is small enough to carry it around in your bag. That said, this product boasts major staying power, so you don't even need to tote it around with you.

I actually was a little nervous about how well this product would work for me when I first dabbed it onto my wrist in-store. Since it was a white-colored tint, I had a feeling that it wouldn't blend in well with my darker-hued skin*.

However, it actually highlighted my pink undertones while simultaneously making my skin glow!

It is now a part of my daily makeup routine and I use it as a highlighter of sorts, using it on my cheek bones, cupid's bow and down the bridge of my nose and under and the inner corners of my eyes. It manages to illuminate without venturing into "too much" territory.

Texture-wise, it is thin and light. You can put it on over your foundation without worrying about cakey-ness or looking unnatural.

I have been using it for a while now and have yet to experience any irritation or breakouts. The only con I have been able to find it is that it can occasionally make large pores a bit more obvious.

The pros of this product include its affordable price, the fact that a little bit goes a long way and how long-lasting it is.

The bottom line: This is the perfect addition to your makeup kit.

*For what it's worth,  a lighter-complexioned friend of mine also tried it and adored the way that it brought out her golden undertones.
