Welcome To 2018: A Cosmetic Roundup

Welcome To 2018: A Cosmetic Roundup

I started getting a little bored at the end of last year. Did anyone notice that there haven’t really been any new makeup or fashion trends? Everything at the mall’s been the same forever, and other than Fenty Beauty, there was nothing really innovative or earth-shattering in the makeup department, either.

So for 2018, I’m definitely ready to switch up my look a little. I took to Instagram to find new ways to spice it up... and I’ve found some cool ideas to share with y’all!

So, I’m a huge proponent of shimmer shadow. For some reason, most of my friends like the matte look. I guess I’m just really extra or something, but I like that glam look.

I’ve never really tried this chunky glitter look, though, and I’m excited to get some new glitter shadow to get this disco ball effect!

This smokey, purple-grey makeup reminds me of the sky right now. It’s subtle enough for work and school, but still super pretty. I love how the eyes have a little pop of sparkle. The lipstick is a nice mauve color that I bet looks great on everyone!

I definitely want to start playing around with more colors! This glossy mango look has such pop.

This halo eye effect is gorgeous. It’s so luminous, but very natural looking. Chantal Pichardo uses highlighter to accentuate her eyes, while using subtle tones of shadow and contour. Perfect for simple days. Top it off with some mascara and you’re good to go!

A little sparkle, peeking out from underneath your eye? Yup! Beautiful way to kick off the year, Darina David!

2018 is the year to try new looks and experiment! Go crazy & have a great year!
