Zig Zag Crimping: Not Nearly As "Nineties" As It Sounds

Zig Zag Crimping: Not Nearly As "Nineties" As It Sounds

Crimping’s back! But this time, with a twist. If you’re looking to perk yourself up during these cold, winter days with a new hairstyle, you should definitely try the now-trending zigzag hair.

It takes normal crimped hair to new levels, adding some shape, volume and pizzazz. It’s too hard to explain; let me just show you some looks I loved.

If you want something really subtle, you can go for a look like this (which emerged from a designer shoot with @farahsanjana, which was styled by @santumisra1, with hair and makeup done to perfection by mastermind Shallu Chandla). It just adds some waves and dimension to hair, without looking like a major change. It would definitely frame the face really nicely and add just a pop of glam!

Plus, you can keep everything else simple (makeup, clothes, etc.) because you just know your hair’s going to be the center of attention.

This look is so, so, unbelievably cool. Yellow hair that even Shadie would swoon over AND zigzagging? Yup. The texture is done really well and adds so much flair. With a simple top knot, she’s given it that extra little something.

I'm the tiniest bit bummed that we don't have a close-up of this hair 'do, but even from afar, it's clear that it is FANTASTIC.

You can do these yourself at home, or go to a salon, but either way, definitely twist it up (excuse the pun) this season!
